This was my first Miller Lash House wedding and I hope it’s not my last. One of my favourite parts about being a Toronto wedding photographer is the amount of amazing venues we have in this city. Leigh and Jeff were married on a hot summer’s day and I think we can all agree they looked amazing. I love when a bride has a unique sense of style and she isn’t afraid to rock it at her wedding. I also love when a bride is referred to me by her friends, which was the case here. I have been lucky to capture two of Leigh’s girl friends weddings. One was at the Berkely Church and the other was at the Hart House. It’s always so nice to see familiar faces at the weddings I document!

I really loved shooting this Miller Lash House wedding for a few reasons. I loved the outdoor ceremony space with the tall green cedar hedge serving as a backdrop. I also loved the open field adjacent to the venue which served as our location for portraits. Whenever I am documenting a wedding, I always try to pull my couple aside during sunset for about ten minutes to create some beautiful golden light portraits. The open field where we did their first look as well as their formal portraits served as the perfect spot to also do their sunset portraits and we timed it just right for when the sun was going down.

It was an absolute pleasure to document Leigh and Jeff’s Miller Lash House wedding. These two are so in love and happy, it was hard to capture a moment where they weren’t grinning ear to ear. The whole day from start to finish was fun, especially the dance floor. These guys and their friends sure know how to cut a rug (does anyone even say that anymore?) All I know is I didn’t want to stop taking photos of them dancing and that’s always a good sign of an amazing wedding.
